I'm feeling more centered and coping well with things again following my mini-breakdown, and am enjoying being a little more withdrawn from the Internet in general. I've been nice to myself... taking breaks when I need them, and mixing a healthy does of discipline and productiveness with reading for fun and watching brain candy TV (Better Off Ted is our new favorite). I've played a thousand games of spider solitaire in the last week, probably...

Art...

I've progressed some more on the big Journey painting, but haven't photographed it yet... more lighting on the trees, and more shadows in the mountains, plus the very start of the primary snow-unicorn. I'm glad you guys are enjoying this one, and will try to reply to comments more specifically soon!

I also surprised myself by doing a comic. Just for fun. It's short, a little rough, and quite silly, but I liked it enough that I'll try another one, too...

I've got a new story up at Torn World: Invasive - a story about young Ressa and her considerations about her future, set against a backdrop of bugs! It's short and a little funny, if you like that type.

We've made great progress on moving things back down to the basement, and I've found a number of interesting items that I'll be putting up for sale shortly - including some of Ursula's teas, and some odds and ends of many kinds. Just in time for Christmas! Ridiculously cheap prices! Free old calendars in every order!

Tomorrow is Sketch Fest! I have finished programming the option to upload finished pieces, and just need to make a few final tweaks to the site to prepare for the October prompts and sketches.

Dance class tonight - I'm back to okay with people again, and looking forward to stretching out some of my basement-sore muscles.
