Mondaily with Spring Fakeout

You know that spring I've been sighing about lately - all the snow that has been melting and how the chopping block has been reappearing?

GONE. ALL GONE. A big giant, fake-out, false spring. We got two inches of snow last night and it looks like winter all over again and I should have KNOWN this would happen because it's only March but I was really wanting spring and now I'm all POUTY and STOMPY and COLD.

On the plus side, I finally got delivery confirmation of the test book, and I'm going to pick that up today (and return Fringe discs).

It has been a deliciously art-filled weekend (long weekend, it's a state holiday today!) and I am feeling a bit recharged. I need to put together a weekend review, a Sketch Fest review, and a crowdfunding post I want to do, and... probably a few hundred other things, but it's still weekend, so I'm going to do what I feel like. Which might be going out and making snowballs and then drinking whiskey in hot chai.

I Want Spring!

My allergies have been acting up a lot lately, leaving me with this strong, gut-level visceral longing to open all the windows.

Not that I have money to reheat the whole house once I do so, of course. So I'm resisting. But in the meantime, I'm sure that part of why I continue to be overtired is the fact that I can't blow away the winter allergens.

At least the snow we got a few days ago has all melted again.

Our snow has not melted, but it's trying REALLY hard to. It's right about at freezing during the day, and colder at night.

That groundhog lied. Unseasonable cold over here in the east, we had a bit of spring the other week.

Glad you finally got your book! I hope it looks good. :)
