We took it easy today... which meant sleeping in and working until only 7:30 PM. We fixed the bathroom door (which was sticking), and made some adjustments to the closet door so it would swing more freely, and then - gasp! - added actual, factual trim to the closet door. It looks... all finished and stuff. *beams*

Behind the cut, many, many photos.

The room when it was first being shaped into my studio:

Then, I filled it up:

Then, after I closed the major merchandise branch of my business, the space was all wrong for what I was doing.
I ripped the desk out, and started freeing up space.

And, when we found out that we were expecting, we went the rest of the way, stripped it down to nothing, and started finishing the walls:

Then... color!

And finally, actual, factual trim and a closet door:

The Abstracts for Curtains fundraiser is going great! We have passed the first two group milestones, so I will be doing a painting for everyone who gets prompts in during the window on Tuesday, whether you can afford to tip or not. Everyone will be getting icons, too, and thanks to two awesome sponsors who didn't want to ask anything in return, I'll have a handful of extra originals to give away!

Thank you! It's a little greener than it looks in these pictures, I think, but very restful. And horray!

Thank you! Still more trim to get up, but it's coming together. :)

Hah! Totally unintentional - in real life, the color is a little greener, very restful and water-colored.

LOVE the flooring - I hadn't realized how much I hated our shabby painted plywood flooring.

It's lovely! I love how versatile that space has been for you, and I also love that color blue. E's room is blue too--it came that way when we bought the house, and it's one of my favorite paint colors in the whole house, so boy or girl, I was determined to leave it as is. E is a girl, and I still love the color. :)

It's amazing what that space has been through! I should try to find older pictures, from before the wall went up, and it was our first kitchen...

I love blue! It's so restful, and I never even thought of it as a boy's color - it's a greenish, ocean blue, and I plan to put fish (vinyl decals or painted) up on it eventually.

Thanks!
