My closet is finished! Horrah! Shelves all installed and braced, and all the furnishings fit inside with no problem. I even went through all my clothing and weeded out a bag of things that I don't wear, or don't fit well, or were worn out. Progress!

Got more sketching done on the big painting - perspective! Scary!

Harvested zucchinis:

Whoooo, Zucchini! One of my favorite ways to have it is, slice it up and sprinkle it with salt to get most of the water out, then dip the slices into four and cook it on the stove top until done. I haven't quite mastered that myself, but my mom makes it killer, it is the reason why, when I was young, one of my favorite foods was zucchini. I still like it, I just never knew the "secret' to making it before. "Only flour, that's ALL you coat it with?"
What are you going to do with the little ones? Pickle them? :)

Also if you cook it with tomatoes, and tomato sauce, and different veggies, and then put the result on top of cornbread... Mmm...

Yay, for the finished closet! It is a nice feeling to have something done!

I think I need to go through my clothes again, I have some work clothes that I've had for about 10 years that maybe I've finally worn out. Interestingly it is the bottoms of the pants/ shorts that are wearing out the most (though for the cords it is the butt area where I sit on my bike that all the cord pretty much wore off). I guess I got my worth out of them (and they were thrift shop finds). Amazingly I can still fit into them after ten years.

Mmm! I'm going to have to try zucchini that way - we like to slice it and put it on the grill with a little salt.

The little ones are probably destined for a stirfry, but we'll see!

Thrift shop finds make the BEST clothing.

in AZ at one point I was eating zucchini slices raw with the bit of salt, I'd thought it was cucumbers... <:)

I was so surprised they got so big - they didn't start fruiting until really late in the season. And my poor confused strawberries are putting out their first flowers this week - WAY too late to put strawberries out, as we're supposed to get frosts this weekend!
