It's Tuesday, I believe?

Took the wee monster to the doctor to try treatment number 3 on her bum rash. She is otherwise in fabulous health, and I wish I could say the same for the rest of us... Jake had a sore throat yesterday and stayed home from work with Dire Illness today. (All sicknesses that men get are Dire Illnesses, aren't they?) So, I'm making homemade soup and lurking around the house while everone naps. Esla's been down for a remarkable 3 hours now (!!) after the excitement of her morning, and I slept for a marvelous two of those before my brain woke me up. I have a teeny touch of sore throat right now, and am crossing all my fingers and toes that it's just sympathy pain, or I slept with my mouth open or something.

Had an un-fun moose event last night - a two-year moose came huffing down our driveway, lurked around by our wood piles, and mock-charged our barking newfoundland (on his run, not loose) O.o He eventually gave up the dog harassing, but it was very un-moose-like behavior, and it was a REALLY skinny moose for this time of year - noteable ribs. He was apparently making an angry huffing noise the whole time - I didn't hear it, but Jake did.

Oo! Guppy is stirring! Off to cuddle.

That really IS weird moose behavior! Sick maybe? There's so much for them to eat right now, I cant imagine why he'd be so skinny otherwise! We've had crazy bear issues, and I'm told part of that problem is because there is too much unmelted snow still in the higher elevations...its pushing all the animals to go lower down to look for food. You guys aren't that mountainous though, so I doubt that's whats going on here. Stay safe!

I suspect the better part of valor is us staying away, since we have an international flight in two days. Woe! :(
