Chances are 50/50 that if you like most of my work, this won't appeal to you.

I'd love to know your impressions of this!

The straight line is distracting from the flow of it :/

I agree. the straight line does sorta make it look like the canvass has been dog-eared. But I love the colors and the freedom and the intensity. There really is a lot of cool emotion going on in this psinting-- I like it a lot. If the other paintings you mentioned are anything like this, I think you should pursue a show of them. That'd be super nifty-keen

The line going across the smaller circle makes me think of Saturn. With that in mind it becomes something like a planetscape. I like the organic shapes and the rich color. It has an almost woven feel to it. Interesting.

the line is the best and strongest part of this piece.
And you're right.. 50% of me loves it; 50% wonders where you are going with this. ;) It needs something... a context, a matting, a texture, a stronger focal point than the line, something.. I don't know what. It's yours, so its your job to figure that out ;) The colors work well in the left side of the piece the most, but the composition gets hazy as it blends to the right side of the painting. That's about all I can shoot out for now. :>
