"Honestly" is finished and submitted to the canon board!

It shouldn't take me a whole month to finish a 2500-word story, but I'm still super pleased with it.

You've seen the black and white version (here are all the stages on Facebook, and it's also posted at Torn World), but I also completed it in color. *gasp!* I will unveil that in just a few days, along with an article about all the symbolism I used... but there are a few limited perks that I suspect will sell out quickly, so this is your chance to grab those. It looks like a pretty amazing deck!

It was a rough night - busy brain kept me awake for too far too long, and Guppy woke at 5:30 when the torrential rain started banging on the metal roof.

"Hungy," she told me, when I went to see her.

"No, you're not," I assured her. "It's still time to sleep!"

She took me at my word and lay back down. "More blankets," she insisted, and thereafter went straight back to sleep.

I tried to go back to sleep but had to pee soooooo badly that I gave up after just a few moments and took care of that. Grabbed just a few more moments of sleep before the alarm went off at 6 for an early rush of the husband out the door with breakfast and sandwiches. Now I'm sitting here in a bit of a low-sleep/extra-coffee daze and deciding if it's worth the waking-baby-risk to hop into the shower. There's laundry to finish, programming, and artwork, if I'm lucky.



If one POHppy tail is adorable, two POHppy tails are twice as cute! She's VERY excited about stealing all of Mama's finger monsters... looklooklooklook!!

ETA: a little thin "Hi?" from the nursery. No shower yet!

I always feel a little guilty complaining when she doesn't sleep as long as I'm used to because I still get LOADS of sleep compared to you. :P And write a LOT less!
