Friends who have imported from Livejournal, do you get inbox messages about the import failing, followed by an 'imported successfully' message? I've got pages and pages of these messages, first a failure, then a success. Should I be concerned?? I haven't received any emails one way or another, and it looks like the import is still in progress, as my journal here only goes back to 2002.

The importer page should tell you how your import is progressing. The queue is still stupid long, and I think DW is still adjusting to the influx of new folks, so as long as you're still getting success messages occasionally and nothing that has been imported looks broken, I'd just be patient. (I didn't get fail-then-success messages, but the queue was short when I imported, and my journal isn't really that big.)

It told me it was done successfully, but was missing several months... and then this morning, everything seemed to be in place, so there was a bit of a delay, I guess. I compared a few months and checked security settings, and everything looks good. YAY. I was dreading trying to do a month-by-month manual import.

I'm sure glad I did an import just a couple of weeks ago, before LJ changed its TOS.
