Ooh, very nice... what's the standard bench height over there? You have a slightly different kitchen building technique then here.

Mm... I think standard is 36 inches, but I'm not real sure. We didn't build in a standard fashion at all; I think most folks just plop their cabinets right on the floor without building that base like we did. But Jake and I are both tall, so we wanted a higher counter. :)
