Still feeling under-the-weatherly, but better than I was before lunch. The headache has mostly subsided.

I finished up an article for EMG-Zine - still need to work on compiling up some stuff to send out for proofing. And oh, crap, tomorrow's Friday already. I'm so not ready to open submissions to EMG. *sigh*

Giving some thought to the forum organization over there, too. Do folks find it offputting that there are private forums for folks who have contracts on file? Personally, I find it okay - it's a business forum, not a general chit-chat forum, and the private parts are there for a reason - particularly in the case of PA. But I wonder if customers find that weird? Maybe they should be all private? I think that would be weirder. I need to do some major reorganization - there are too many duplicates now that the PA merged with the general EMG, and some of it's got to go. I have enough trouble keeping track of things without two or more questions and problems forums to check.

Got some PA work done, and I'm about to go visit the friendly outhouse and then sit down with some artwork. Real artwork! I haven't done any in DAYS and it's starting to feel weird. Really weird. MUST ART... (*smashes around Godzellen style...*)

Haven't seen King Kong yet, but I really want to! I loved the hokey original version. What can I say, I'm a sucker for cheese and high drama*.

Just checking since I might have missed on announcement -- last time I saw you mention submissions to the EMG I think you said two weeks, 15-30 Jan? How long will it stay open if you open it the 6th?

Oh! *heh* It's not opening on the 6th - I just promised to have complete instructions for submitting ready on the 7th, which means I need to build a little html page that shows pictures of the various parts and has links to where folks need to be. It will still be open Jan 15-31!

You're managing to accomplish more while sick than I seem able to do while merely mopey. :) Just get to feeling better.

As for King Kong, I saw it with hubby, but now the kiddo wants to see it. Great the first time, but I am not sure I want to watch it again on the big screen.

Most functioning forums I see that are there for a purpose more than just chat have a private members area. That's just good sense, otherwise you just get idiot spammers messing up your business dealings which you definitely don't want, and in some cases I can see that you might need some commercial privacy. I'm not a member, though I pop by and keep an eye on requirements in case I magically acquire a computer capable of editing a file large enough to fit your requirements.
I'll join when I can, hopefully by the end of this year, but being excluded from certain areas offends me not at all.

I did consider getting someone else to scan some stuff for me, but I really wouldn't be happy unless I could do my own editing (and I want to do mainly digital work anyway). So hopefully I can stockpile a little work so I have a nice selection and maybe by the time I get my equiptment paid for and running you'll be all systems go with all your sites.
