Argh! The stupid menu doesn't work in IE! It's the same damn menu I've used at a dozen other sites without problem (besides the nearly equally split 'I love/hate the bouncy menu!'). It SHOULD work. I've tried cutting out various surgical areas of the script that might be causing problems... nada. Works beautifully in Firefox. Lovely, wonderful Firefox. Stupid, frustrating, horrible IE.

Whyyyyyyyy won't you work?!

Sic the squirrels on it.

I think after going through torture like that IE will be willing to submit to ANYTHING. ;)

hate to bring it up now, but what's the latest i can get that celtic knot tutorial to you without it being a huge pain?
had a couple of sudden crisises (i'ms ure that's not the right word) happen here, including trying to breathe life into a terminally ill rat.
i'm going to get this tutorial done, but it'd be nice to know exactly when you'll need it by, 'cause i really want to make sure i do a good job of it.
thanks ellen.
and sorry i can't help you with IE...don't use it, i'm afraid.

:( That doesn't sound good at all! Will two weeks do? Say, until the 15th?

Here's a really random bone, but it may help -

My friend Eric (apparently he said Hi to you at Dragon*Con) was having trouble making a page work in IE - he found that the !DOCTYPE tag was, for whatever reason, borking the layout completely. He removed the !DOCTYPE tag and it worked.

We have no idea why, but it's somethign to try.

Er, it may also just be the java. IE doesn't play well with anything. :\

Perhaps it can help you too: Conditional comments. It's possible to make mark sections of code for appearing in either IE or all other browsers. And it's not actually a hack but a supported feature, if a bit of a bother.

At least IE7 is coming out soon!

Didn't work in IE when I was at the library this morning. I'm home now and it works fine in Opera.
