Okay, I don't usually sign petitions or pass them on, but this one is super important:

http://www.civic.moveon.org/save_the_internet/

It would mean that companies with huge budgets would get preferential treatment, and little sites like mine (who will probably never have the budget to compete at that level) would get low priority. When lines are busy, mine would be the site that times out, losing me business. Living in Alaska, through a gazillion switching stations to anywhere, this is particularly personal. My site's in California, but *getting* information would suddenly be a lot more predjudiced. Not cool. I protest. I sugget you protest also.

Have redesigned my LJ layout to match my new personal site, and am playing with links and products now... still have lots of content to add, but have hopes that it will be out by the end of the month. Wee!

Seriously unmotivated, but have a ton of artwork to work on. Off to do so.

That AT&T crap really pisses me off. Just, what the hell, people. Is it about money or is it about control? Ffff. I'm not really coherent about it, it makes me so angry.

Submitted my semi-coherant thoughts. Whee. Made some analogy about fertilizing crops and if they only 'fertilize' a small portion of their field in hopes of a high return, leaving the rest of it to sit and spin, what happens if that portion they were tending got frost and died? Fertilizing the whole field promises a higher yield overall.

Man, is it obvious I don't even garden much? :P

WTF. Lets screw all us artists and small business owners over more! Like the copyright thing wasn't enough and I didn't see move on doing anything about THAT.

Before you all run off to do that, please read this:

MoveOn is a little different than most petition sites, in that filling out that form and pressing 'send' does not send a petition but an actual e-mail to the senator of the state one has put down. It is still important not to use it to replace good old fashioned calling or sending snail mail letters, but it's a good something extra.
