Afternoon slump

I'm debating caffeine. It's a little later than I usually drink it, but man, my eyelids weigh five lbs apiece.

Rapunzel got into Epilogue!

Nice boost on a day I'm feeling very poorly about my own work.

I have all but 10 designs up at EMG. Have written a massive artist-updates email, and nagged people to make their bios public and put their designs online so they actually show up. 10 more! That's all!

Not taking submissions again until the coding is finished for that, because gah! No one should have to wait as long as these folks did. (Though to be fair, I'm JUST getting some of the contracts and print files now...)

Window clings - so far I'm loving the tests I made. They're all off in the mail except one (need to go dig up an address), and they look pretty spiff. Only half of them have my web address because I didn't think of them until I'd already printed a page.

What size you do you like your window clings? I'm thinking I might make little mini clings - to fit my punch, because cutting them out is so far a bit of a drag. Also, some of you might get a batch that is a little bubbly on the back - I didn't quite let the ink dry on that batch before overpainting them. I've got one up on my front door that I've instructed Jake to peel off and put back on as often as possible to see how it holds up. So far, so good. They stick WELL. It's sunny there - we'll see if it fades.

Trying to decide if I want to hang work at the Dragon*Con show this year. Leaning towards it, but... eh. Show sales for me so far have been SO miserable, I don't know if it's worth the effort (see third line). Have to decide soon so I can get payment in and do the jury thang.

I have been sucking more than usual about commenting and such! Just no time! I hope you know how much you mean anyway!

Don't you already have a dealer table? I thought you took care of that last year. I hope you for sure will be at DC and are only undecided about th Art Show still. We look forward to seeing you and Jennie again! :)

I don't know if I'll be going this year, but my brother Bob Giadrosich goes every year. Your work reminds me of his, as you both seem to have an amazing eye for line work.

I don't know how much worth it is in those circles, but isn't having a table at Dragon*Con also advertising? I know that, for board games, being at the Spiel in Essen, Germany means lots of exposure and people might not buy your games there, but if it's interesting enough, they will look for them and harass their stores, come to your web site etc.

I think that children would like diddy window clings. When my son was 7 or so he used to plaster his window with those blasted pokemon clings and he would have loved to collect them. Heaven help me if he could have got his paws on a series of baby dragons for example, he would have pestered me non stop every time some new ones came out, and I know lots of little girls crazy about unicorns, so if you could sweettalk some of your artists into doing cute little creatures on a clear background (maybe .png files?) you might be onto a winner there!

I actually have a series of fantasy critters I'm working on in a sorta style that'd work great for that... hmm. Mental note to make certain to get those done when Ellen's opening up submits again. :3
