Much, much happy site progress in the past few days. I've got several folks beta-ing the new print services site, I've just watched a whole host of backend PA things come online, and the EMG-Zine site makes me smile and smile and smile. Do you see this? It's the first, and I didn't have to do *anything* to get EMG-Zine up. Except a little minor cleanup. My workload in the next month or so should magically become about half. Which is good, 'cause I got projects out the wazoo, and I *really* need to go get some real-paying contract work. Also, the fair's in a month, and Dragon*Con a month after that.

In the meantime, I'm gunno do some art, and maybe watch a stargate, and have a snack, perhaps, and pretend it's a Saturday and not think about my inbox.

And, if I do say so myself, flipping through the archives (oh the ease!) at EMG-Zine makes me think that the anthology is going to be one kick-ass publication. And did you play with the awesome search feature?? Did you? I hadn't even noticed it was online until today. Heh.

*Happies*

(Pst - last day to submit 'Water' art and fiction!! Week off of the calendar deadline!)

Two quick questions: do you normally notify folks of acceptance? I rather assumed no news was no news. And does fiction pay anything? Art explicitly says no, but danged ifI could find in the guidelines aye or nay for fiction.

Thanks.

Actually, no - you only hear if something gets rejected. :) I'd like to set up a system to alert contributors on acceptance, too, but haven't tackled that yet.

No pay on fiction or poetry. :( Not yet, anyway - this first year has stretched me pretty darn thin, but I'm hoping to offer perks for next year!

You might want to explicitly state the no-pay thing for fiction/poetry, as you did for the art. Not that I sent you anything with the expectation of being paid (or rather receiving emg credit), but it was a surprise to see payment stuff spelled out in all of the other sections, but not the fiction.

Thanks.

Oy, you're right! That whole page of guidelines needs a re-vamp, actually, it's not very clear or up-to-date in several places. Ah! *adds to list of things to do.*

Bwa! I didn't even notice it was from anonymous when I first read it.

Cool on the revamp. I'll keep my eye out for it, even as I try to plan out art or maybe another story for a future issue's theme.
