Oh, but the composition has a glorious flow. I love montages, but they're so easy to execute poorly. You have done a wonderful job linking all the elements together!

The lower right corner is the show-stealer, but it's balanced by the action at the top where the humans are just slightly left of center. This is a very well-done montage, with thoughtful choices. You included all the main concepts from the poem. The cracking ice and the silk tie everything together. One fumble on the jewels, not fatal; you've got a plan to fix it. As a whole it looks good.
