Continental vs. Contiguous
Dec. 12th, 2008 10:09 amDear Businesses of the lower 48,
Alaska is part of the continental US. It is on the continent. It is part of North America (and not, as popular opinion may hold, somewhere near Mexico floating in a small, square sea). If you wish to exclude us like a middle school clique, please advertise free shipping to the contiguous United States. We are not part of the contiguous US.
Language. You can has it right, pls?

Date: 2008-12-12 08:17 pm (UTC)"Oh, Alaska? Yeah, we don't actually ship to Alaska..." Then why were you able to take and confirm my on-line order and then not ship anything - but not tell me until I called weeks later and fought through the worst "customer service" phone system available to find out my order is never coming and I have to get it elsewhere?! (some people...)
