Up made me bawl. It was wonderful. I recommend renting this one - at least, if you're as splotchy about crying in public as I am. Super cute. The opening just destroyed me and I never completely recovered. BRING CHOCOLATE.

I don't mind saying that I cried for about half that movie. So many things about it reminded me of my Grandfather, including the way that Carl looked and acted.

Absolutely incredible.

See, I have not, nor do I intend to see this, because I have yet to see one review that doesn't say "IT MADE ME SOB!" and I just don't feel up to that kind of emotional wrenching...

Yeah, me too. We saw it in a pretty packed theatre (it was when the 3D showings opened), and you could just tell that by the end of the opening, every adult in that place was trying to sniffle surreptitiously.

It says something pretty amazing about both their writers and animators that they can take 10 minutes -- JUST 10 minutes! if that! -- and introduce you to two kids, and by the end have you so invested in their relationship (and so seeing it reflect life experiences you know) that you're that upset.

Kevin and I were wiping our eyes and sniffling surreptitiously ourselves by the end of the opening.

I'm glad to find someone else who bawled about the opening! I swear I cried for ten minutes straight and then was sniffling throughout. A good movie, but wow.

Jenny here

Sandy and I saw this one to mark our ten year anniversary of meeting each other, and it was a good thing I brought tissues ( which I always do anyways, but they came in handy this time). Most I've ever cried in a theater, and possibly Sandy as well.

After it was done h e told me, "Make sure you have other adventures after I am gone."
