Invoicing for the new orders is done. I'm about ready to compile a list of needs and hit the connex box for t-shirts.
Calendars and anthology, next.
Torn World post will be on the necklaces of the Northerners.
Art and Authoring
Sketched on some necklace designs for Torn World, but haven't scanned it yet.
I'm going to take an hour after lunch to sketch or write. Haven't decided which, yet.
Home and Health
Is the cough gone? Is it really? *thumps chest experimentally* I think it may be? It helps that it poured last night and knocked some of the smoke out of the air!
Load of laundry done, and the roomba is vacuuming right now after a mad flurry of cleaning. It had gotten pretty messy with all the various traveling and mad panics we've had lately.
Still need to tackle my studio.
Plans
Calendars and anthology! I know, I turn into a broken record about this time of year...

Date: 2009-07-10 03:25 am (UTC)With two pets and an unfinished lot, there's a LOT of hair and dust and dirt and little bits of pea gravel and construction waste. I figured the roomba would take care of SOME of it, and least the drifts in the corners might be a little less - my hopes were not terribly high.
I am a total convert.
It is adorable, entertaining, and my floors are SO SO SO SO much cleaner than they ever were. I have to empty it frequently, because we do generate a lot of stuff and it's very small, but it's really amazing at getting things up. We have painted floors, but there's a rug in the bathroom I don't always remember to pick up and it does just fine over top of that - and even transitioning between floor and rug. It has a little trouble with the lip around the monitor heater, but that's because it's not quite high enough to stop it, and too narrow for it to get both wheels up on, so sometimes it gets stuck with one wheel up and one wheel down and cries for help. I've gotten in the habit of putting chairs around that area when I run it, at least if I'm not going to be around.
Even if you're manually sweeping an area (corners too tight, or if you're in a hurry to get a specific spot done), you can put it on 'spot' and sweep at it, and it eats up all your sweeping - no stupid dustpan and chasing that line of dirt around.
Ahem. Yes, so, definitely a fan. Best money I've EVER spent on an appliance. I use it every few days, and it is a workhorse.
Oh! The sidebrush screw stripped immediately and had a habit of dropping the sidebrush off everytime I ran it. Jake found a bigger screw, screwed it in there in place of the teeny tiny one it comes with, and it hasn't come off since.
It is a fitting start to a robot army.
