Because I am unstoppable.
Sep. 28th, 2009 10:02 pmQuick! I need an article in the next two day; I've used up my buffer!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ask me a question. Or a few questions, if you want. I'll pick one I've got enough experience to answer in article-length depth and see how well I can write to deadline juggling this much stuff.
(Obviously, I'm looking for an art or writing or business related question - but questions on other topics may be answered... depends on my muse.)
I'm happy to credit and link to you, if I use your question.

Date: 2009-09-29 07:09 am (UTC)In a complex created universe, where interesting (story-worthy) events happen in many times and places, how do you organize that multi-threaded development, and present it to the reader?
In the specific example of Torn World, it looks like there is a 'now' in story-telling terms, which I imagine will move forward with a primary story arc (could be wrong!), but there are also multiple past eras and locations that could be developed in arbitrary detail and could plausibly have active characters and story threads. There are quite likely ongoing events 'now' that don't impact the main storyline (yet, or directly). Plausibly there's a sufficiently-defined future that one could set stories there and be confident of consistency without spoiling the now. That's a lot to keep tabs on, as a writer or a reader.

Date: 2009-09-29 10:02 am (UTC)What kind of stuff do you use, how do you go about organizing it whether it's a table or a booth? And until now, how did you handle displaying such a variety of artists?
I remember reading somewhere in the very beginning of EMG it was just your own art designs on cards and stuff, on a nomral printer, etc? I'd like to hear about stuff you did way back then too! :p
