ellenmillion: I get stuff done (i get stuff done)
I have been committing art. And writing.

Dragon of Glass revisions are done, print cover is laid out, it's got a new epilogue and about about 5k new words in total (which is lovely, because it was too short!), and I'm super excited to release it next week! I did a lot of new things for me. (And for Zoe, for that matter.) I'm really curious to see how it does and am basically going in with no expectations. I'll have pre-order up later this week!

Dragon Prince's Quest is almost at 18k, and I'm still loving it, though I took a break to do the final polish on DoG. Have a sketch of Carina and Toren:

If you count up ALL the words, I've written about 16,000 since Nov 1 (DPQ started at 6500), and considering I started 5 days late, that's not bad. I had a couple of 3k days there, and I'd like to settle in and do a few more of those at least. There's still a shot at finishing this month!

Happy Veteran's Day, I'm back to writing now... zoom!

So, that happened. I wrote a book in a month! I was using NaNoWriMo as a vague excuse to make this my goal, but I was aiming towards 'finished book' much more than '50k words.' And I did it! The book is 33k, but it's remarkably polished for a first draft - there are no gaps, no placeholders, no dangling bits I made notes to go back and fix. It's DONE. And I sort of love it. It has lots of my favorite tropes, and it's ridiculous and romantic and fun and funny. It's the sixth book I've written, and the second in three months.

YAY KINDERGARTEN.

I also finished this artwork, now available at my Etsy shop as a coloring page download.

Now I have to monitor homework, and there's a playdate pending, and I still have to post at Torn World and send an email...

Layla and I are doing an ornament sale with some of our leftover stock, over on Facebook!

There will be some special sales, collections, limited commissions, livestreaming of our painting, and even giveaways, so it should be a lot of fun. <3

I'm writing like MAD. Not-a-book #6 is just over 18k, with 17k of that being NaNo count. I'm not on track to win NaNo, but I can't bring myself to feel bad about it. I LOVE this book, it's just a pile of fun to write, and I think I'm close to half done, so there's a good chance I'll still finish this month, which was really my goal. And if I don't, I've STILL written a lot of words.

Okay! More wood for the fire, a cup of tea, and I'm going to work while I have writing momentum. GOGOGO!

2582 of the suckiest words that have ever sucked. Blech! I'm at 10,206 then, and need another 2300 before the end of the day.

Some of the worst drivel I've ever written. *Dies of shame* I hate it deeply and don't want to post it. I think I won't.

Did not so much as look at my car today - left it sulking in the driveway with her battery disconnected and spent the day troubleshooting a leak, printing and packing for the show tomorrow, and doing a bare minimum of writing. I'm 2500 shy of where I wanted to come into the weekend, and will not likely have time tomorrow to get any in.

I at least have a little bit of an idea of where to take the plot after this... an interesting twist I hadn't really planned on, that (I hope) makes it a little more interesting.
