For my Sea Monster Scale Chart, we got to $200, and that means I'll be adding five sea monster territories to this map that I'm building with toggle-able layers: http://tornworld.net/map2.php

Which five? Help me decided! Anyone may vote in the poll! You can select up to FIVE of your favorites.

(A few of the originals are still available, and I will include a copy of the postcard print of the final chart, which I finished today, yay! Purchases won't count towards funding goals, though. We're done with that part of the project.)
It's long! )

I survived the day cloistered upstairs with a rather upset little monster, and it was worth it!

My floor! It is GLORIOUS. I do not have photos prepared yet, so you shall have to be content with my vague gloating for the moment.

A very quick poll:

For July's Muse Fusion, I wrote three poems, and I can't figure out which I'd like to offer as this month's freebie. Help me choose!

[Poll #1929119]

Northern Ice Cream was prompted by [livejournal.com profile] vaerys. 20 lines of rhymed poetry. ($5 sponsorship)

A Memory Box is a free verse poem of 18 lines based on [livejournal.com profile] wyld_dandelyon's prompt: 'something for your loved-one's hair.' It turned out creepy! ($5 sponsorship)

A Working Model is a 10-line free verse poem prompted by [livejournal.com profile] kelkyag about one of Oranaan's experiments! Sponsorship is $3.

I've made bread today, done laundry, vacuum packed the pulled pork for freezing, fed the baby four times (hungry Guppy!) and had an amazing pesto-pork-zucchini-noodle lunch. Writing and art until Guppy wakes up (not long now), then there will be reading of books and playing with reptiles and balls. More contractors are here today, but they are not IN my house, and are being much quieter.

My first sea monster poll! I've got 11 more slots to fill (at least!), and here are 15 choices! You can research these awesome monsters here or just pick by names. Select one or a few of your favorite-sounding, and I'll draw whatever's ahead in the polls. You may enter your address, optionally, if you'd like to be included in a drawing for a free ACEO print of one of the finished sea monsters! (Results are private, so only I will see your address!)

(And yes, you might have seen a quick previous post on this topic, but I made some corrections and reposted...)

Alrighty! I've got 8 stories left to do or finish in the next two weeks. I can totally do this. In fact, my biggest problem is deciding which ones to tackle... so help me out with that! Pick as many as you'd like to see. :) And while I'm building a poll, I have some Torn World project questions for the general audience. You don't have to answer them, if you want to just suggest a story (or three) to work on. Your results will be private, too, so if you are feeling all reluctant to check 'not interested in Torn World,' don't worry - only I will see that, and I'd REALLY like the feedback. Comments welcome.

The long version of stories to work on... )

October is galloping down on us!

Now, looking ahead, the following month is November, when a lot of us (self included) will be working on NaNoWriMo manuscripts. Last year, we skipped November, and December being too busy for two, did two Sketch Fests in January. This year, since we're thinking ahead (crazy, I KNOW), we could put two in October instead!

I am not yet positive all of these weekends are free for ME, but I want to poll the participants early and see what the trends are for the month, and find out your opinion on trying a weekday Sketch Fest if we go with a second on this month.

Feel free to elaborate on your choices in the comments!

Working on my resume today!

I did a half hour word war with some writer folks and got a solid start on the next installment of the Rails storyline, submitted the segment I finished over the weekend (*fans self* - first adult-rated piece I've done!), and worked on emails. Amazon problem is still not resolved, and Smashwords is still reviewing my stuff for their catalog.

I'm trying to decide what to do for my next art project; I'm feeling like I need something major on my drawing board. What would you like to see me do? (Check as many as you'd like. Suggest things in the comments! Or privately, if you'd prefer.)

[Poll #1749576]

It looks like another gorgeous day! Horrah!

The people have spoken: our next Sketch Fest will be February 18-19!

Sketch Fest awards poll )

There are THREE categories, though they run together a bit in the posted poll and I can't edit it now -- you may cast one vote in EACH category.

If you find you have any trouble voting, or if you don't have a Livejournal/Facebook account, or any difficulty comes up, please contact me privately or comment here. Anonymous comments are screened and will remain private if they are votes!

Voting closes next Wednesday, so you have just less than a week to make your choices!

Uploading is closed! We had 42 artists participating, with 163 total sketches. Do check them out! http://www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/sketchfest/sketchfestwall.php?date=10

Prizes! I will be handing out a few prize packages for this fest - artists will receive a package of blank ACEO cards! I would like your nominations for three categories, below. You can list a title and artist, or copy-paste the address of the sketch you're nominating. Your results are public, so you can look and see what else has been nominated and pick something else if you want. Those sketches that are nominated will be put into a poll on Wednesday, and there will also be a prize for most comments left.

And, let me know when you want the next one!

[Poll #1674845]

(And if you are not registered or are unable to vote, you may leave votes and nominations in the comments. Anonymous posts are screened, so they won't show up until I approve them.)
