I think most of my answers to the latter questions are more along the lines of "hmmm, I hadn't thought about it, but that sounds nice!" rather than "It MUST HAVE THIS THING!" (Well, except for cowbell. Always needs more cowbell.) In particular, I don't think that the stories need to be edited together, but putting the book together is a good opportunity to work in little twists and references to later/earlier events, so hey, why not?
I do read quite a bit of fiction & poetry on LJ, but I mildly prefer that it be linked to elsewhere (or behind a cut), whereas pictures (of reasonable size) totally belong in posts. Maybe I should've clicked that ticky-box, too?
Sketchfest! 1) shiny shiny art. 2) fascinating and unexpected interpretations of prompts, mine and otherwise. 3) prompting to do the occasional strange and different thing m'self.
Hmm! Is it a length thing on the link vs. full post? I am debating putting the South Meets North posts behind a cut at Torn World. Perhaps another poll! (New North Meets South starts next week! Ee! It's all been recap until now...)
Quite possibly. Some people prefer ~all the content on one page to scroll through; some prefer a list of pointers to open as separate pages. I seem to be the latter. Making both sorts happy is tricky, though I believe there are greasemonkey scripts that will install cut-equivalents and I could set one up for myself.
Not as obvious as all that - I am never sure how much MY unbridled enthusiasm for a project is coloring my perception of other peoples enjoyment of it. :P
I love to read all of the "slice of life" stuff. I'll admit I skim the artwork and projects posts, but I have so much to read/do... I just realized that some Sketch Fest artwork is available for purchase. I hadn't even gotten around to looking at the artwork, yet! o.O I always read the Alaska and Guppy posts when I get around to trying to catch up on LJ, though.
